[Do you know what today happens to be? Well do you?? It's Naoto's birthday of course! (Not that anyone would know besides two people) And she's spending it... not... exactly how she had originally planned. Instead of reading her heart away at the library, she's out and about in the village with a card in her hand, white lilies sticking out of her shoulder bag's pocket and a focused look on her face.

What is she doing? She's on a scavenger hunt of course! Sure it may seem a little childish but at least it's been slightly entertaining. Well... even if it wasn't, she couldn't just blow the whole thing off. She'd never forgive herself if she didn't investigate. Besides, there might be something interesting waiting for her at the end!

So throughout the entire day, Naoto will be wandering around the village (more specifically around the school, library and plaza) in search for her next clue. Where will you find her?]

[Locked to Roxas]

[After finding the sixth book, lily and clue, Naoto has found herself making her way up to the roof of the library. When she reaches the top, she's... half surprised and half not to see a certain person standing up there with her. But she won't let the surprise show. Instead, she smiles lightly.]

Roxas-kun.

[He's pulling out a box then, presenting it to her. Whenever she opens it, she'll find a necklace shaped like a magnifying glass. He found it in the items shop and was pretty pleased with himself.]

[She takes the box when its handed to her, inspects it for only a brief moment (to try and guess what's inside) then opens it up. For a minute, all she can do is just stare at the necklace, obviously a wee bit surprised. But not in a bad way! She just hadn't expected Roxas to pick out a gift like this.

Her expression softens and she carefully takes the pendant into the palm of her hand, observing it in the light]

It's beautiful.

I found it a few days and thought it'd be perfect. You really like it?

I really do. [Luckily for Roxas, Naoto isn't entirely against jewelry. As long as it's simple and not that flashy/girly, she'll wear it.

She closes up the box, putting it into her empty bag pocket and flusters as she tries to put the necklace on]

Here, let me help. [He's walking over to help her put it on and wow Flynn pretend I put "ago" in that previous sentence.]

[oaiergoaiehg Well okay then. Awkwardly letting him help] T-Thank you...

Sure...[There you go, it's attached!] Fit okay?

Y-Yes. [Idly playing with the pendant, she looks away from him] T-Thank you, Roxas-kun...

Yeah...[He steps back to admire it for a moment.] Happy birthday, Naoto.

[Ah--]

[ ...That's right.

That's right. It's her birthday today.

She had gotten so caught up in the entire scavenger hunt that she forgot what the date was. Even after Rise reminded her of the promise she made to her a while ago about throwing a small party to celebrate.]

[ ...So that means Roxas did all of this just to help celebrate her birthday. Here he remembered this one specific day while she had forgotten about it and planned to treat today like every other day.

Her eyes are starting to sting. She wants to cry, so badly she just wants to cry, even if he's standing right there. In the back of her head, she wonders why.

Maybe it's because someone went out of their way to make this day really special. A friend did. Roxas did.]

T-Thank you...

[All he can really do is slip his hands back into his pockets, shifting his weight from one foot to the other and giving her another small smile. He had tried really hard to make this special, and it seems like it worked.]

I know you didn't want to really celebrate today...but I wanted to.

...Why?

[Not that she minds, really, she's glad he did this but at the same time she's curious.]

Because you're one of my best friends and you deserved something special...why not?

[ ...She smiles a little.]

You really are too nice to me.

I don't know if I'd call it being too nice. You make it sound like you don't deserve it.

It is more that I am not accustomed to being treated this way. Gifts and all.

Might want to get used to it. Just sayin'.

If you insist. [She fidgets a little and holds the pendant with both hands] Thank you.

No problem...and you know what? We've got the whole day ahead still. We can do whatever you want.

Ah--Whatever I want? [Fluster fluster] I-I can't think of anything particularly exciting that I'd like to do. [EXCEPT READING but. he spent all day trying to make today special so...

Time to try and be more creative!!!!]

It doesn't have to be exciting. It just has to be whatever you want to do.
