20th Case - [action]

[Do you know what today happens to be?  Well do you??  It's Naoto's birthday of course!  (Not that anyone would know besides two people)  And she's spending it... not... exactly how she had originally planned.  Instead of reading her heart away at the library, she's out and about in the village with a card in her hand, white lilies sticking out of her shoulder bag's pocket and a focused look on her face.

What is she doing?  She's on a scavenger hunt of course!  Sure it may seem a little childish but at least it's been slightly entertaining.  Well... even if it wasn't, she couldn't just blow the whole thing off.  She'd never forgive herself if she didn't investigate.  Besides, there might be something interesting waiting for her at the end!

So throughout the entire day, Naoto will be wandering around the village (more specifically around the school, library and plaza) in search for her next clue.  Where will you find her?]

[Locked to Roxas]

[After finding the sixth book, lily and clue, Naoto has found herself making her way up to the roof of the library.  When she reaches the top, she's... half surprised and half not to see a certain person standing up there with her.  But she won't let the surprise show.  Instead, she smiles lightly.] 

Roxas-kun.

You once told me that after a mission, you would retire to the clock tower and eat seasalt ice cream there, correct?

Yeah, that's right. I didn't think you would remember that.

Why wouldn't I? [Come on Roxas give her some credit. She does, after all, write down pretty much everything you tell her... ]

[Yeah, he should know that.] ...I think we can get ice cream from the grocery store. Wanna go look?

Of course. Shall we then? [She starts to walk to where she came out but not before turning around to wait for Roxas]

[He strides to catch up, nodding a bit before walking by her side to head down to the village.]

[action]

[fortuneprince]

[And so she walks with him in silence as they get down to the plaza but then it dawns on her-]

Roxas-kun? When is your birthday?

[action]

[perplexme]

...I don't really have one. [Not that he's aware of, anyway.] But Axel said just to celebrate it on the same day as my anniversary in Luceti. So...September the 9th.

[fortuneprince]

I see... I will keep that in mind then.

[She's not planning anything starting right now NOPE]

You don't have to, you know.

You are correct, I don't have to. But I want to.

Yeah, okay. [He knows better than to argue with her.] Just don't worry about it today, okay? It's your birthday.

[Good boy Roxas.] Alright, if you insist. [THEN FROM TOMORROW ON IT IS!!]

And I do. [And into the grocery store they go! Roxas is headed for the freezer section.] If they don't have any, maybe I can figure out how to make some.

[And so she shall folloow!] I'm surprised you have not taken it upon yourself to learn the recipe already. Seeing as how you enjoy it quite often.

I don't use the kitchen much at our house. That's usually Kairi's area.

[Then it seems like they have another thing in common. Stupid evil kitchens] I see. Then perhaps we should conduct an experiment to see if we can make them one day.

You'd really want to give it a try? Sure about that?

Yes, I am quite sure actually. It would allow me to experience cooking something new. The food I have made myself thus far have been rather simple, as you can no doubt imagine.

Yeah, I can imagine. It's something we can try at least. Maybe we can figure out a good recipe and hand out ice cream to people in the plaza when the weather gets really warm. I bet they'd appreciate that.

I do not doubt that they would. I'm willing to partake in such an activity if that's what you would like to do.

Beats setting up a lemonade stand. That's something people do during the summer, right?

I believe running a lemonade stand is an activity most children do, but yes. It is something that is done in the summer time.

Ice cream's better. Maybe we can use it as another investigation, figure out the different flavors of ice cream in people's worlds or something. [Now he's just being goofy, don't mind him.]

[She chuckles at that] That would be quite the interesting investigation. Though I can't say I can imagine there being that much of a variety of flavors for ice cream. Seasalt ice cream is the only unique one I am aware of.
