[Currently, Naoto is sitting on her bed with her eyes closed. She was originally talking to Nala but she breaks the connection when Souji knocks at her door]

Yes, come in.

[He shuts the door behind him as he goes in, taking a seat next to her. At a glance, it's easy to note the kind of scarring he went through during that mess a few weeks back.]

Are you alright?

[She frowns as she looks him over. Why couldn't she have been there for him to help? Cursing herself inwardly]

I'm fine, what about you?

I've been worse. [Near-death by Izanagi's hand probably could be considered that bad, but who knows? It was Mu he was dealing with after all.

Nonetheless...he'll get straight to the point.] Did anything happen while my back was turned?

[Whether he's been through worse or not, she's just glad he's okay...

But she saw this coming and gives a small sigh, turning her gaze to her lap. You could say she's ashamed] I attacked Vanitas by myself.

[...Irritated sigh. Watch him bring his hand to his face to try to cover up his already apparent annoyance.] Naoto...what were you thinking?

[Not even looking at him to see him cover his face]

...I was thinking that I needed to stop Vanitas and make him pay for what he did. Obviously I wasn't thinking through my options carefully.

Not to sound harsh, but you should already know what happened the last time you tried something like this.

[He more than likely doesn't need to remind her of her willingly going into the TV world back then.]

[Yeah not exactly the most pleasent memory of hers]

I know, I realize that it was a mistake...but I couldn't just let him walk away like he did! [Now she turns to look at you Souji, frowning]

[There's a stern one being fired right back at you. Though he isn't one to talk, he's quite displeased.] And what if, in the process, you died out there instead of coming back the way you did?

[Nooo not the stern look. It almost makes her cower back but she stays strong] I sacrificed myself once for you, didn't I? Am I not allowed to do the same for another friend?

While I understand how you felt about the situation... [No, more than that, he's more than aware of what she gave up just to protect him from Izanami.] While I still remember what sort of price you paid...there's no reason to just go out there and fight these sorts of battles alone.

[She knows that all too well] Would you have let me go if I asked?

Only if you had company to help you out of that mess, if it became too much to handle.

[You're lucky you are who you are Souji, or she'd go off on you]

But it wasn't too much to handle. Vanitas and I are almost equals.
