[Action]

[Even though things have calmed down concerning the whole Vanitas ordeal, that doesn't mean Naoto is going to stop training and just relax.  She has to get stronger, right?  So in the morning, she'll be doing her usual thing of heading to the battle dome to train but only for an hour or two.

After that, anyone who is walking around may spot Naoto on the steps to Community Building 4 with a few random objects on the step beside her and one in her hand.  In fact she seems to be focusing on it a great deal, wires coming out of the little trinket as she carefully connects them to each other with different tools.

Later on in the afternoon she'll be at the library, picking out a cook book then she'll head over to the grocery store to get the proper ingredients to make taiyaki and she'll even go to the item shop to grab some more random things to experiment with.

So feel free to bother our little detective]

I wouldn't say I am being childish. Perhaps I was just trying to tell you to move your things off of the steps, only in a very direct manner.

[She stops walking to reply, but then she notices all those little objects in Naoto's lap are nothing like anything she's ever seen. And that trinket with the wires poking out definitely grabs her attention.]

What are these anyway? I have never seen such things before.

[Walking down a few steps to stand behind her, she'll just reach down to try and tug at one of the wires.]

They're my inventions. [She doesn't move when Yuuka reaches down to touch the wire] I wouldn't touch that if I were you. There's a high possibility that it will shock you.

Inventions you say? Are you perhaps related to the kappa, they too enjoy inventing you see. [She's going to touch the wire anyway, it's not as though it would really shock her..]

[Suddenly she jerks her hand back and just stares at the wire, then at her hand, then the wire again.]

My word, what an odd feeling. Rather unpleasant too.

[She's just going to slowly bring her parasol around now.]

I should smash your invention for it startling me like that.

The kappa? [Alright you've made her curious. But she just stares at the girl and sighs when she jerks her hand away. Told you so.

Yes, the kappa. They live with the tengu at the base of Youkai Mountain. I believe one of them was making... Now what was it called? Ah yes, optical camouflage.

[She might poke the invention a few times with her parasol warily.]

Hmph, what good is an invention if all it does is shock you anyway~

[Pushing the parasol away gently with the back of her hand. Don't poke it]

Obviously one that hasn't been completed yet. It doesn't shock you when you've connected all of the wires together.

I have never seen such an invention before, and so I would not know if it were finished or not, would I?

[Oh, the parasol is back. She's lifting one of the wires up slightly with it.]

What is your invention's purpose if it is not to shock people then~?

The kappa do not interest me. I only hear of their exploits after an incident is resolved, and even then I don't hear much.

[Alright she'll sliiide the parasol away for the time being. Again. And now she'll hold up her journal by the cover and flap it about a little.]

Aren't these journals used to communicate as well? Why make something else that can be used to communicate if one method already exists~?

I'm not recreating it to replace the journals. In fact I have no knowing that it will work in Luceti. I suppose you could say I'm doing it out of sheer boredom.

[Yeah, she was never really big on the whole trusting people thing. Choosing to live alone has that effect.]
