[What’s written is child-like handwriting. Albeit neater but still resembling that of a child’s and what’s written isn’t directed at anyone. In fact, it’s written like a page in a diary]

April 13th

10:30am I woke up a few minutes ago and I think I'm in a library.  This isn't Grampa's library or the local library.  I have my detective tools with me though.  Where am I?

10:32am There are a lot of books here.  Grampa doesn't have a lot of these.

10:38am I’ve spotted a few people in here. They're all wearing wings and I have some too.  I wonder why?  What’s even stranger is that I can make mine move.

10:40am I tried to take the wings on my back off but it really hurt when I pulled on the feathers. I don't think I should touch them...

10:50am I took a look outside, I don’t think I’ve been here before.  There's a fountain out front and a bunch of buildings but it's raining really hard so I can't go outside to look around.  I guess I'll have to stay here for a little until it stops.

Further details to come as I conduct an investigation, starting here in the library.

[A few minutes pass before she writes:]

11:15am I want to go home. [There’s only a moment to see that before she starts scribbling it out]

[For a good few hours, Naoto will be hanging out around the library since 1) it’s raining outside, 2) there are people in here to question and 3) books. So anyone is free to catch her sitting down with a few piles of books sitting around her with her nose stuck in one of them. Also if you happen to be in the library, you might be approached by a small girl and she'll even give a polite "excuse me" to get your attention.

Junior Detective Naoto Shirogane is on the case!

In the late afternoon, Naoto moves out of the library and makes a run to visit the bakery, All Passions and the flower shop to check things out and talk to more people.]

[OH GOOD LORD THE JOURNAL RESPONDED AGAIN.

The initial surprise is over but there's still some surprise since it said something else. And though she's young and a very young and learning detective, she does notice that the writing is different from before. Shouldn't it be consistent? Nevertheless, if it's offering her help for her investigation then she'll take it.]

I would very much appreciate the help. [Sitting herself down at a table for a moment] Do you think you could tell me about this town?

Yes, of course! This place is called "Luceti", overseen by a group of people called "The Malnosso", as I believe they're called. Everyone here is in a similar predicament as you are, having been brought and fitted with these wings that you've undoubtedly noticed by now...and yes, as you've also noticed, pulling on the feathers can be painful. I would suggest not doing so again, as damage to the wings can result in a bitter taste to contend with...

[You can get sick or die if the wings are hurt badly, so yeah, be careful about that Naoto.]

[Getting this explanation written in her journal by the journal sure does make this a bit easier. Now she doesn't have to rewrite all of this information down! ...Even though she might rewrite it again later just to have everything organized to her liking.

There are so many questions she wants to ask...

Who are the Malnosso and where are they? Where is Luceti? Does this mean she's been kidnapped? Has everyone else here been kidnapped from their homes? Why do they have wings and why can she feel them as if they were real?

But she has to take her time and figure this out piece by piece, like her grampa and Sherlock Holmes! That's what they do, right? One thing at a time. That's probably the best anyways so she can maybe wrap her head around this mystery.]

Who are the Malnosso? Do they work for a corporation of any kind?

From what I've heard of them...which, I do admit, may not be as much as someone else that has been here longer than I have might have heard, but they seem to be an independent organization of their own. They're the ones that appear to be responsible for maintaining our stay here, as well as being the general source of blame for why we're here.

[In other words, getting kidnapped and having wings implanted into our backs? They seem to be the guys everyone talks about and points to for who's responsible for that.]
