[What’s written is child-like handwriting. Albeit neater but still resembling that of a child’s and what’s written isn’t directed at anyone. In fact, it’s written like a page in a diary]

April 13th

10:30am I woke up a few minutes ago and I think I'm in a library. This isn't Grampa's library or the local library. I have my detective tools with me though. Where am I?

10:32am There are a lot of books here. Grampa doesn't have a lot of these.

10:38am I’ve spotted a few people in here. They're all wearing wings and I have some too. I wonder why? What’s even stranger is that I can make mine move.

10:40am I tried to take the wings on my back off but it really hurt when I pulled on the feathers. I don't think I should touch them...

10:50am I took a look outside, I don’t think I’ve been here before. There's a fountain out front and a bunch of buildings but it's raining really hard so I can't go outside to look around. I guess I'll have to stay here for a little until it stops.

[A few minutes pass before she writes:]

~~11:15am I want to go home.~~ [There’s only a moment to see that before she starts scribbling it out]

[For a good few hours, Naoto will be hanging out around the library since 1) it’s raining outside, 2) there are people in here to question and 3) books. So anyone is free to catch her sitting down with a few piles of books sitting around her with her nose stuck in one of them. Also if you happen to be in the library, you might be approached by a small girl and she'll even give a polite "excuse me" to get your attention.

Junior Detective Naoto Shirogane is on the case!

In the late afternoon, Naoto moves out of the library and makes a run to visit the bakery, All Passions and the flower shop to check things out and talk to more people.]

[It's late in the afternoon when Yuan makes his way through the village. He isn't going anywhere concrete, he just wanted some fresh air. Stretch his legs. Sitting inside all day is tempting, but he can never keep it up for too long.

He spots the young girl outside the flower shop as he passes by it and for the first few seconds, he doesn't think too much of it. Then it hits him that the girl looks vaguely familiar. It's the hair, he supposes. Naoto has a haircut just like that.]

[Don't forget she also has her favorite awesome hat on too! Though let's say when Yuan had passed by she took it off momentarily to wave any water off of it.

Of course, she spots Yuan as he passes by and watches him for a moment. Without her grandfather around, she's felt a bit more shy, more hesitant about talking to people, especially adults, the ones who've been kinda mean to her lately. It doesn't help that she's never been the social type.

BUT SHE'S A DETECTIVE! Even without her grandfather around! She's going to be the best detective, like Sherlock Holmes! So she can talk to more adults for her investigation. Yes! So she puts her hat back on and jogs after him]

Um... excuse me, Sir?

[The moment she begins to jog after him, Yuan already turns his head mildly to watch her from the corner of his eye. He slows to a stop when he notices the hat. The resemblance is uncanny, now. Considering the nature of Luceti, it might be more than just a coincidence as well.]

... Yes?

[Deep breaths, just relax and speak up and be a good detective!]

M-My name is Naoto Shirogane, Junior Detective for a private agency located in Inaba! I'm currently conducting an investigation and would like to ask you for your assistance! [DID SHE DO GOOD]

[And now the coincidence option is out of the running entirely. Looks like the Malnosso were up to their usual tricks again. He knows how important being a detective was (and still is) to Naoto, so he'll indulge her.]

Oh really? What sort of investigation?

[She sighs a bit to herself. Alright, so far so good. Remember to stay professional, talk clearly]

An investigation concerning the whereabouts of this town and the strange ano--... [big word give her a second] ano...malies such as the wings on our backs and the talking animals.

[Hm. Now he's starting to wonder if anyone's explained the situation to Naoto yet. The guide is most likely too great a read for her, but the general gist of things should be passed on. Then again, is she too young for the truth of the situation?]
