1st Case- [Accidental Video]

[At first, the only thing shown on the video is a clear sky with grass surrounding the lens. The wind blows gently, causing the grass to sway slightly.

A moment later, the grass shifts around and a blue haired girl appears, obviously not in her normal outfit. She takes a look around]

Where...where am I?

[She carefully stands up, now her pale legs only seen on the camera] The mountain range in Inaba perhaps..? [Before the young girl is able to take a step forward, a small cry of pain comes from her and she collapses on her knees, her hand gripping her shoulder.

A pair of small, dark blue wings appear behind her for a moment, giving a slight flap before disappearing behind her back again. It takes a few moments before the girl is able to finally relax again, her hand sliding off her shoulder]

Wings...? ....Am I dead? ...No that couldn't possibly be right. Once one is dead, there is supposedly no pain, yet I can feel it.

But where is my uniform? [she stares at the white dress, playing with the straps for a moment] I don't remember ever purchasing this dress nor do I remember changing into it.

[The blue haired girl finally looks straight at the camera, reaching forward to grab the journal.] A journal? This could prove to be useful.

If I'm here it's possible the others are as well. I must find them as fast as possible.

If anyone had any idea on where to find them I don't think we would still be here. Or at least not as peaceful as we kind of are.

I think they are outside the barrier, personally, but at the same time I do assume they may have a way to enter it. There are no cameras or the like around so it's unsure how they do surveillance.

I suppose that's true. I'm guessing when one is kidnapped they're unable to see where they're taken to.

Regarding surveillance, it's possible they use the camera on our journals as a way to see inside, even if we aren't purposefully recording at that time.

I got kidnapped once, but I remember nothing from it. When I returned my head hurt, like when you wake up from having been sedated. And was wounded but, yeah, can't remember a thing, the droids knocked me unconscious when they got me.

The journals do happen at times to record even when we don't intend to. But if that's the case, keeping them closed should suffice to keep them in the dark, but I think it does nothing.

You were kidnapped once before? Hm....And you couldn't remember anything while you were held captive?

Keeping them closed would only be a temporary solution to keeping the Malnosso blinded. The journals are used for communication so I doubt we would keep them closed for too long.

Shortly after my arrival here, in fact, but it hasn't happened again. And no, I can't remember anything, as I say I remember the droids getting me, I lost consciousness and when I woke up I was here again, just being a mess which I wasn't before I was taken.

That's true, not to mention that if they truly just use that to keep an eye on us it would be blatantly obvious that something is going on if suddenly everyone keeps them closed. I think they must use something else, like the bar-codes behind our necks or something, maybe we just can't see the cameras they really have around. All that shifting thing sounds capable of doing that.

I see. They must have used a drug to keep you unconscious while they kept you, or its possible that if they used you for drug experiments, the effects could have been partial memory loss.

This is also true. I doubt they would only use one method to keep surveillance because of the possibilities of their cameras being destroyed or us finding out. The bar codes as you said could be one way but that may just be for other purposes.

I felt like shit when I returned so I don't discard any of those options.

Well, honestly I think the bar codes may be related to the journals. Or it's just a way to keep track on us when they kidnap us, I don't think they know our names except for when they make a draft list. And judging by their criteria I doubt they care about anything about us that doesn't fit their experiments.

[Naoto goes into deep thought for a moment before responding again]

That's possible as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't care much about us outside their experiments. There would be no pointing in trying to understand our backgrounds if we are simply lab rats to them.

If they cared I'm pretty sure the drafts would be different. Also it seems that there weren't always drafts, they had started recently when I arrived apparently. But the war has been going on for quite a while, sounds like they just suddenly remembered that some of the people here may be useful in combat... And then started to throw people there without care if they were combatants or not.

If they actually did care, several things would be different.

I wouldn't be surprised if what you said is true, concerning their sudden remembrance of our own abilities. Since they believe they are in complete control of us they must believe they can put us in any situation they please.

Pretty sure they already think that given the nature of the experiments here. They are not beyond playing with our minds, feelings and bodies in general. Neither have any care for our privacy.

Sadly enough, they're almost as bad as a few people I have had to deal with before.

[She pauses again, deep in thought]

Actually I disagree with that.

[A pause.]

I think that they are worse. They really have no qualms in who they bring here, it can be a good person or a mass killer for all they care about.

[She looks over at Keiichi before looking straight ahead again]

I can say I have met someone similar to that. If you had seen what I have, you may agree.

I won't get to "what I have seen" or "what you have seen", but I believe you.

[It's hard to not believe something like that with his own record.]

[She smiles a little]

[Blinking.]

You're welcome... But what for?

[She flusters a bit]

For...saying you believe me.

Oh, that.

[He smiles amused by it.]

Well, I'm not someone who believes what everyone tells him. But I have the feeling that you're not someone who would lie. You're intelligent, mature and nice, you don't have a bad aura around you, so to speak.

It's not really a big deal. One has to believe in people to make friends, otherwise things get really lonely.

Thank you.. [Naoto knows what that's like to be lonely and not believed by others a lot, so she's grateful Keiichi does]

[Again with that, it's not really such a big deal, is it? Anyway, they are getting to the village finally.]

Well, this is the village! The stores are further ahead at the plaza, around here all you'll see are houses, community buildings the barracks and the battle dome.

[Naoto takes a look around, scanning all the buildings she's able to see]

There's a battle dome here?

[He nods.]

Pretty advanced technology, you can go there and set a training ground of your choice. It works with holograms and such, pretty realistic, and it has a medical facility on it so one can get checked there if anything happens while training.

I see. Perhaps I should go there when I have settled into the village. If I were to be drafted, my Persona needs to be strong.

Persona? Are you from Port Island? Or from... Where was Rise from again?

[He doesn't know Rise that much, really, mostly only know that she has a Persona from the draft. It was pretty useful to locate people.]
