19th Case - [Voice/Action]
[It's been a few hours since Naoto arrived back home but instead of actually getting around to the 'hey I'm back' she's been busy organizing her thoughts. Meaning she's been too busy making a mess of her desk. Getting all of her thoughts put down on paper and typed out can get pretty crazy.
But once she reaches a breaking point, she relaxes back in her chair and opens up the journal to make a voice entry-]
I have returned from my mission. [Kuzunoha barks happily in the background at Naoto, waiting for a pat on the head. And so she does, giving him a small 'sh' afterwards]
It's quite fascinating to learn what kind of information the Malnosso have stored within their own library. There was so much unorganized data that had yet to be cataloged... I only wish I had been allowed to read more than what I was assigned. [She sighs. But she really can't complain all too much. The information she was assigned to read peeked her interest enough.
She has plenty to think about for a while]
In any case, is there anything I missed in my absence?
[The dog barks again and Naoto chuckles, closing the journal to go give him a bath.
A few hours after the entry goes up, Naoto finally makes her way out of the building to head to the library to grab some new books and maybe volunteer to help out around there. Afterwards, she heads to Seventh Heaven to actually play the piano for a little. It's been over two weeks since she's been able to play or listen to someone play so she feels the need to get in some practice]

[Voice]
Well... even th-that is a baseline, I would s-suppose. Perhaps like... much of the l-library here, except... far more comprehensive...?
... Wh-what were you a-allowed to read...?
[Voice]
What I read focused on two worlds that happen to be connected to one another. They are called Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. Unfortunately what I read was only partial history of both worlds, not all of it.
[Voice]
... Well, it's from other worlds. That's interesting.
And Robert is trying to get over his own issues with learning history. He's getting better!]I... c-cannot say I can ever recall... hearing of s-such worlds before...
... Perhaps they are... r-represented by someone... within L-Luceti, or another region...?
[Voice]
That would be the more logical answer at least.
[Voice]
He doesn't say that, though. It might not be a good idea on the journals.]
... Wh-whatever passes for logical in this p-place, yes...
It is c-consistent with... other properties, like what appears in the Item Sh-Shop. However, nothing from m-my world... has ever appeared, either there or... in the L-Library.
[... His world is too technological, apparently.]
... I suppose that is... l-largely because my world has no books...
[Voice]
Apparently so.]
May I ask why there are no books present in your world?
[Voice]
Though there have been... a-attempts to repair the damage, Terra's trees, a-along with the rest of its environment, are still... under heavy m-monitoring. Computer a-archival technology, particular massive p-planetary databases, are... a more e-efficient replacement for paper-based t-technology...
[He says all this in a way that suggests it's an explanation he's had to give many, many times.]
[Voice]
Do you prefer books? I assume you must have read a few here by now at least. [She doesn't know how long this guy's been here but you can't be here for long and not read something from the library. Bored or not]
[Voice]
[Which pretty much justifies its existence to him.]
... Books were, er... j-jarring at first, to say the l-least, but... I suppose I am... more comfortable with them n-now...
[Voice]
What were these electronic devices like in your world?
[Voice]
[Thoughtfully:] The most... t-typical devices are nanocomputers - essentially, v-very small computing devices, most of which are qu-quantum in nature. There are... s-specialized versions for almost... e-every field, and... i-input ports for them exist... th-throughout all the megatropolises of Terra...
[Voice]
[Voice]
[It's still something that he's surprised the Malnosso gave him.]
[Voice]
[Preferably in person but she's cool with over video too]
He's in the back room of his house - Naoto won't see much besides a desk, strewn with various technological and mechanical gadgets. It has the appearance of an inventor's desk, primarily.
The only anomaly in the scene is a small device about fifteen centimetres across, covered in a clear case.]
... It is... p-presently unopened. I will... d-do so momentarily...
[Robert props the journal up in a place where he'll be able to record this without causing awkward lapses.]
