[Everything she writes down is scratched out the moment she reads it over. She just... isn't sure how to approach the question]

Let's say someone close to you, someone you deeply trust, kisses you without any warning. You know they don't quite understand what the gesture truly means but you personally have been affected by it. What do you do in such a situation?

Do you tell them how you felt about it?

...What if you aren't sure about how you felt? You're confused...

This is all hypothetically speaking..

[All day, Naoto is going to be acting rather... off. As a matter of fact she's been acting weird for a while now and the only ones who might be able to notice are Roxas, Rise and Ven.

Ever since that day, Naoto's been avoiding Roxas, and even Ven. Whenever she sees either of them, she turns and walks the other way, whenever either of them try to catch her attention, she ignores them and tries to hide somewhere. It isn't that she's mad (even though it seems like she is) it's just that she's confused...

So as long as Roxas and Ven aren't around, Naoto will be outside, just wandering around the village with a coat and scarf on or in the library reading some books. She needs to think... ]

I think I'm getting a pretty clear idea of what's what. Are you out today?

[Sob] ...Yes. I'm at the library.

[Libraries are quiet and Rise really doesn't like going tolibraries if she can help it. Hum.]

Seventh Heaven in ten minutes?

[She's pretty sure they can snag a quieter table that's far away from the counter and from people in general. How about that?]

Alright. I'll meet you there.

[Going to shut the journal now and start putting her books back lala]

[It's easier for Rise, see, since her work's mostly volunteer work from everywhere. It starts with—]

I'm going out!

[—and with a quick check that everything'll be fine, she's out. She'll be at Seventh Heaven before Naoto but picking out a good table takes some time. She'll probably just be sitting when Naoto makes her way over.]

[Naoto takes her time putting the books back and leaving the library. It isn't that she doesn't want to talk to it since well--she's the one who reached out for advice but she's still dreading the talk.

Once she gets to Seventh Heaven, she looks around, spots Rise and walks over to the table she's at to sit down]

I apologize if I kept you waiting.

[She shakes her head.]

I didn't wait that long at all. [Passing a menu over, because just sitting in a restaurant without ordering something is kinda. Rude.] What'll it be?

[Naoto takes a look at the menu, not really wanting to each much since her tummy has been doing flips all day but she just settles on something light]

Sushi I suppose will do. California roll.

[Let's assume, for the sake of simplicity, that's a waiter is there taking orders. Or a waitress. Whoever's on duty at the moment.]

I'll just have some Ceylon tea.

[She places the menu on her left to be collected, but it's not till the server has gone to put in their orders that she speaks to Naoto again.]

Are you feeling okay?

[Here you go waiter/waitress, you can have Naoto's menu too.

Naoto looks off to the side, just looking at the people in the restaraunt, trying to think of an answer for Rise. Is she okay? Mentally, no, physically, yes but she knows which one she'd be talking about. So with a soft sigh, Naoto looks back at Rise with a slight frown]

I could be better.

[Rise may not be a mindreader but she's at least passably competent at reading others. And well, that avoiding glance in that pause that Naoto took? That spoke volumes, even more than the short reply that she gets.]

You look like you've had better days too. What's this about?

You read my message so you know the answer to that question.

[Or at least a good majority of it. Naoto just doesn't want to go into details.]

[Whoops, the food's here. She turns on a smile.]

—thanks.

[—and the smile promptly fades after the server leaves their table. But really— bits and pieces, and she's formed some of her own conclusions from the information. Still, nothing is better than hearing things from the horse's mouth.]

I'd like to hear it from you.

[Giving a nod to the server, she stares down at her food after she leaves then reaches for the chopsticks.

Her face is red so she doesn't look up at Rise this time, instead, she just moves the sushi aimlessly around the plate. She does open her mouth to say something but closes it after a second. TRY AGAIN RISE]

[But what if she waits expectantly.

Like so.]

[Well then Naoto is just going to pop a piece of that sushi on her plate in her mouth since you're so quiet.]

Naoto?

[Chew, chew, swallow. Do they really have to talk about it? Naoto's face is already starting to heat back up sob.

She might as well spill it though, Rise already knows. So she just speaks as quietly as she can while picking up another piece of sushi] It's possible that I like someone... [Aaaand the sushi goes into her mouth.]

And they kissed you?

[Just a nod]

...did you enjoy it?
