[Right now, Naoto wishes that these past few days have been a really really bad dream. But unfortunately, they weren't and thanks to that, she's even more self conscious than usual. Why must the Malnosso torture her? Not to mention, her last encounter with Sora was well...not the best one so that doesn't help. Her voice comes abruptly from the journal]

To any and all who happened to see me these past few days, I urge you to forget everything you saw or heard. I will not answer any questions concerning the events that occurred.

[There's a short pause] ...There is something I would like to discuss, not concerning the previous topic. I haven't done a lot of research on these elemental spirits, but how does one obtain healing abilities from Nala? I would like to achieve it, if at all possible.

[Yeah, you could say that Naoto is getting pretty sick of feeling useless when it comes to helping her friends, or anyone for that matter, when they're injured. It's happened one too many times]

[Voice - Filtered away from Sora's journal]

Those who are housemates with Sora-kun...is he doing okay? [Another pause] Some of you must know who that person was that did this to him. Who is he and what reason did he have for doing such a thing?

(OOC - I meant to fix the thing for the current event thats going on, but Naoto is only going to be effected the first 2 days and part of the 3rd day. This entry is broadcasted a while after she returns to normal, so just a heads up on that!)

[ With her journal at hand, she comes up to the familiar door. The corners of her mouth tugs upward at the memory of how the two have met. It wasn't like any ordinary meeting; it was a very unusual encounter but a pleasant one.

She knocks on the door with the back of her hand and patiently waits. ]

[Don't even remind Naoto of that experiment, it was so embarrassing. Once she hears the knock on the door, she makes her way over to it and opens it. A small smile appears on her lips as she steps to the side to let Martel in]

Please, come in.

[ Returning the smile, she comes into the house. Her eyes wanders briefly. It was the same as before. The only difference was that she didn't have any difficulty trying to get in. ]

Thank you, so would you like me to start teaching you now? You don't need to do anything. I'll just need to talk about the technical parts of how to heal.

[Once Martel is in, she shuts the door and turns around to face her]

Now is fine. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to help teach me. [Though she isn't quite sure how much she'll be able to do, but it's worth a try] We can sit in the living room and discuss it.

[Come on Martel, follow Naoto over to the couches. She takes a seat on one of them]

[ She follows Naoto's lead and seats herself in the couch next to her. ]

Okay, the first thing to know about healing is to be sure to be aware of your limitations. If you overwhelm yourself, you could end up dying or hurting the person you're trying to help.

[Great first thing that she wants to hear, but hey, it's valuable information]

How are you able to become aware of these limitations? Are there any symptoms that appear if you've almost reached that limit?

Don't worry. It's not all that hard to figure out. Usually, people become aware when they start to feel fatigue or sleepiness.

[ She cups her hands together and a soft green light flickers on the palm of her hand. ]

You don't need to do this now if you don't want to, but when we begin the actual training, I'll start you off by creating these little lights.

[ She takes both hands apart and leads the glowing bulb with her pointer finger. ]

I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

[Okay, attention caught. She stares at the green light that appears in her hand then follows it when Martel leads it around] Does that require any energy when summoning those?

Yes, but it's not a significant amount. Though it will be tough for you since it's your first time.

[ Her finger stops moving and the light quietly flickers away. ]

Naoto. Is it alright for me to ask you something?

I can imagine.

[And now she looks back at Martel since the green light is now gone] Go ahead.

Why do you want to learn how to heal? It's good that you want to know, but I'm just curious as to why now?

[She pauses for a moment, biting her lip before she speaks] A few friends of mine in the past have been gravely injured and I was unable to heal them myself...

[She won't say it but what she's trying to say is "I'm tired of feeling useless"]

I see . . .

[ Naoto doesn't say it, but she can see what she was trying to say. She knows how she feels. Actually, for the past thousand years she has felt useless even before she died. ]

That's my reason for becoming a healer too.

[If Martel had told her that she felt useless as well, that would have surprised Naoto. She seems so happy, but everyone has their secrets]

It's probably one of the most common reasons to want to become a healer.

Perhaps. I don't see any other reason why one would want to become a healer.

For their own selfish gain perhaps?

[In other words, paying for healing]

That's another possibility, but I would like to think that most healers don't help people for the sake of money.

[ She never did like that kind of idea. In her mind, it defeated the very purpose of a healer. ]

Most healers don't have that train of thought. In fact, I believe it's rare to find someone like that.

[ She begrudgingly nodded. She would like to believe that, but it's the cold hard truth that most healers are in it for the money. When she and Mithos were still on their own, there was a time her brother got very ill and the healer she turned to had practically zero sympathy for them and attempted to get as much money from them as possible. ]

Yes, I've had some . . . encounters with people of that sort.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with those types of people...

[She won't ask what happened but no one should deal with greedy people like that]

[ She put a reassuring hand on Naoto's shoulder. ]

It's alright. It all worked out in the end.

I'm glad to hear that.

[She gives Martel a soft smile in return]

[ Withdrawing her hand, she stood up from her seat. ]

I don't wish to use up anymore of your time so I think that's enough for today if that's alright with you.

[ She happily nods and walks up to the door. ]
